RubberWay Pervious Pavements are constructed of a larger (3/8” mesh) recycled crumb rubber granulate which creates a very porous surface allowing for rapid rainwater dispersion and quick drying. Usually installed in 1-1/2” to 2” thickness using an environmentally safe, non-toxic binder, the resulting surface will provide years of comfortable, resilient, attractive and safe usage.
Available in black or dark brown, RubberWay Pervious Pavement is suitable for sidewalks and pathways, jogging and walking trails, school playground blacktops, driveways, decks and patios, and parking lots.
The crumb rubber granules are derived from recycled automobile and truck tires as well as scrap rubber which is diverted from landfills to create this useful product.
By allowing rainwater to penetrate through the surface, run-off is greatly reduced and the water is allowed to disperse throughout the subsoil and provide needed sustenance for trees and shrubs. The pavement is resilient enough to provide a low slip, spike resistant, comfortable and safe surface, yet firm enough to be suitable for more high impact use from skateboards, strollers, bicycles and automobiles.
